The infrastructure of the Cayman Islands meets first world standards and could even be said to exceed them given the size of the community. An impressive first class road network exists on all three islands and electricity is supplied at standards of reliability which exceed those in much of North America. Potable water is available throughout almost all of Grand Cayman. The police and judiciary are world-class and the court system is highly regarded internationally. There are approximately thirty different education establishments in the Cayman Islands offering high standards of secondary education with both US and English curricula available. In addition, there is well established community college, university college, law school (a branch of the University of Liverpool) and medical and vetinerary schools. These latter two institutions have themselves attracted many students, most of whom are from North America. Education is growing as a pillar of commerce in these Islands. There are medical clinics in every district, two excellent and superbly equipped hospitals on Grand Cayman (one government and one private) and a hospital in Cayman Brac. Each has the capability to provide first class medical treatment and is staffed with experts from around the world. The postal service is secure and reliable and the world’s primary courier companies are represented here. Telecommunications are provided by numerous world class service providers and high-speed internet, cell phone and for example Blackberry service is available throughout all three islands. International Airports are located on both Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac and are regularly serviced by many international carriers.
