Living in the Cayman Islands will afford you an exceptional quality of life. As well as perfect weather, there is an almost endless list of activities available for you, your friends and your family to enjoy.
The water sports activities are world class and in some respects legendry. Whether scuba diving Bloody Bay Wall, snorkeling with the stingrays at the Sandbar or skimming the calm waters of North Sound on a sail boat, the Cayman Islands provide amongst the very best tropical nautical experiences available in the world.
A wide range of high quality and sophisticated culinary choices are available from the many restaurants operating in Cayman, ranging from The Palms, a rustic beach bar where you can enjoy a magnificent sunset to the sophisticated haute-cuisine of Blue at The Ritz-Carlton.
There is a full range of sporting activities and clubs in the Cayman Islands. Particularly well known are South Sound’s Squash, Tennis and Rugby Clubs, The Football (Soccer) Association, The Sailing Club, numerous Running Clubs, The Triathlon Association, Gun Club and even an underwater hockey club!
In addition to the warm culture of the Caymanian people, various formal cultural organisations have been long established. There are two theatres, a Visual Arts Society, a National Gallery, a National Trust and numerous visiting entertainers and musicians throughout the year. High on the calendar for any music lover is the Jazz Fest held in November each year which enjoys well-known international artists.
Some of the activities are peculiarly Caymanian. Whether it be the friendly carousing of Pirates Week (held in October each year, a week long festival of culture and mock debauchery) or the quieter but nevertheless spectacular displays of Christmas lights enjoyed by all residents and visitors (as neighbours compete with one another to provide the most impressive displays, whilst opening their gardens and homes for passers by to enjoy), there is always something to look forward to in the Cayman Islands.
Of course, if all of this is too much, the option of lying in a hammock, cool beverage at your side, is an attractive alternative.
